Refund & Returns Policy
Last Updated: 29 August 2026
At ELECTRICK PTY LTD, we want you to be confident when purchasing electric bikes, electric dirt bikes, e-mobility products, batteries, parts and accessories from us.
This Refund & Returns Policy explains when products can be returned, how refunds and exchanges are handled, and what to do if your product arrives damaged or develops a fault.
This policy applies to purchases made through the ELECTRICK website and is intended to operate in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or limits any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Australian Consumer Law
Australian Consumer Law provides consumers with certain guarantees when purchasing products from Australian businesses.
Products supplied by ELECTRICK must meet applicable consumer guarantees, including requirements relating to acceptable quality, fitness for purpose, correspondence with description and other applicable consumer rights.
If a product has a problem covered by the Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to a remedy such as a repair, replacement or refund, depending on the circumstances.
Our return policy does not replace or reduce your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
If you believe your product has a fault or does not meet a consumer guarantee, contact us as soon as reasonably possible so we can assess the issue and determine the appropriate remedy.
2. Change-of-Mind Returns
We may accept change-of-mind returns where the product is eligible and meets our return requirements.
For a change-of-mind return, the product should generally be:
- Unused or in new condition.
- Free from damage or excessive wear.
- Complete with all original components and accessories.
- Returned with original packaging where reasonably practicable.
- Accompanied by proof of purchase.
- Suitable for resale.
Because electric bikes and electric dirt bikes are large, specialised products, additional return and inspection requirements may apply.
A change-of-mind return is not the same as a return for a faulty product. Your Australian Consumer Law rights continue to apply regardless of our change-of-mind policy.
3. Electric Bikes and Electric Dirt Bikes
Before ordering an electric bike or electric dirt bike, customers should carefully review the product specifications and ensure the product is suitable for their intended use.
For products that have been assembled, ridden, modified or used, change-of-mind returns may not be accepted where the product has been damaged, substantially used or is no longer in its original saleable condition.
This does not affect your rights where a product has a fault or otherwise fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee.
Customers are responsible for checking applicable local laws and regulations before using an electric bike or electric dirt bike on public roads, paths or other public areas.
4. Faulty, Defective or Non-Conforming Products
If your product develops a fault or does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, please contact ELECTRICK.
Depending on the nature of the problem and your rights under Australian Consumer Law, we may provide an appropriate remedy, which may include:
- Repair
- Replacement
- Refund
- Assessment or inspection
- Replacement of a defective component
- Another appropriate remedy required by law
We may need to inspect or test a product before determining the appropriate remedy.
For larger products such as electric bikes and electric dirt bikes, we may first request photographs or videos showing the problem. Where necessary, we may arrange further inspection or return of the product.
5. Major and Minor Problems
Under Australian Consumer Law, whether a product problem is considered major or minor can affect the remedy available to the consumer.
Where a product has a major failure, you may have the right to reject the product and choose a refund or replacement, subject to applicable law.
Where a problem is not a major failure, we may have the right to repair or otherwise remedy the product within a reasonable time.
The appropriate remedy will depend on the individual circumstances and the requirements of Australian Consumer Law.
6. Damaged Products on Delivery
Please inspect your package and product as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If your electric bike, electric dirt bike, battery, accessory or other product appears to have been damaged during transportation, contact us promptly.
Where possible, provide:
- Your order number.
- Photographs of the packaging.
- Photographs of the damage.
- Photographs of shipping labels.
- Photographs or videos of the affected product.
- A description of the damage.
Please retain the original packaging until the matter has been resolved, as the courier, manufacturer or ELECTRICK may require photographs or inspection of the packaging.
Do not continue using a product if the damage creates a safety concern.
In particular, do not charge or use a lithium-ion battery that appears damaged, swollen, punctured, leaking or unusually hot.
7. Battery and Charger Returns
Lithium-ion batteries and chargers require special handling and transportation.
If you believe a battery or charger is faulty, contact ELECTRICK before sending it back.
Do not post or transport a damaged, swollen, leaking or otherwise potentially hazardous lithium battery without receiving appropriate instructions.
Depending on the circumstances, we may provide specific return, inspection or transport instructions.
Battery range, charging time and battery performance can vary depending on factors such as:
- Rider weight
- Terrain
- Riding speed
- Temperature
- Riding style
- Tyre pressure
- Payload
- Battery age
- Charging conditions
Variation in expected range alone does not necessarily mean that a battery is defective.
8. Normal Wear and Tear
Products used regularly will naturally experience wear.
Normal wear and tear may include deterioration of components such as:
- Tyres
- Inner tubes
- Brake pads
- Chains
- Sprockets
- Bearings
- Grips
- Cables
- Cosmetic finishes
- Other consumable components
Normal wear does not automatically indicate a manufacturing defect.
However, if you believe a component has failed prematurely or does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, contact us so the issue can be assessed.
9. Products Damaged Through Misuse or Modification
Products may not qualify for a voluntary manufacturer warranty where damage results from misuse, neglect, incorrect installation or unauthorised modification.
Examples may include:
- Crash or impact damage.
- Incorrect battery charging.
- Battery disassembly or tampering.
- Water damage beyond the manufacturer’s specified limits.
- Incorrect installation of components.
- Unauthorised electrical modifications.
- Incorrect voltage or charger use.
- Improper maintenance.
- Use outside the manufacturer’s intended application.
- Competition or racing use where the product is not designed for it.
This does not exclude or limit any consumer guarantees that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
10. Unauthorised Modifications
Modifying an electric bike or electric dirt bike can affect its safety, performance and reliability.
Modifications may include changes to:
- Motors
- Controllers
- Batteries
- Chargers
- Wiring
- Suspension
- Brakes
- Wheels
- Tyres
- Speed settings
- Performance components
If you install aftermarket components or modify a product, please ensure the components are compatible and installed correctly.
Where a problem is caused by an unauthorised modification or incorrect installation, the modification may be relevant when assessing a warranty claim or voluntary warranty.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not excluded by this provision.
11. Return Authorisation
Please contact ELECTRICK before returning a product.
Do not send a product to an address obtained from an old order, invoice or third-party website without receiving current return instructions.
We may provide:
- A return address.
- Return instructions.
- Packaging requirements.
- Courier instructions.
- Inspection requirements.
- Additional information required to process your return.
Products returned without prior contact may experience processing delays.
12. Return Shipping Costs
For eligible faulty products or products that do not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, return arrangements and costs will be handled in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and the circumstances of the claim.
For approved change-of-mind returns, the customer may be responsible for return shipping and associated transport costs unless otherwise agreed.
Because electric bikes and electric dirt bikes are large and may contain lithium batteries, return freight can be significantly more expensive than standard parcel shipping.
Customers should contact us before arranging return transport.
13. Refunds
Where a refund is approved, we will generally process the refund using the original payment method where practical.
The time for funds to appear in your account can vary depending on:
- Payment provider.
- Bank processing times.
- Card issuer.
- Payment method.
- Refund processing times.
We will provide confirmation when a refund has been processed.
Where a consumer is entitled to a refund under Australian Consumer Law, the refund will be handled in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
14. Exchanges
Where appropriate, we may offer an exchange for another product.
An exchange may be subject to:
- Product availability.
- Price differences.
- Return eligibility.
- Inspection of the original product.
- Applicable consumer law.
If the replacement product has a different price, we will advise you of any applicable adjustment before processing the exchange.
15. Accessories, Parts and Components
Returns of accessories, spare parts and components may be accepted where the item is eligible and has not been used or installed.
Examples include:
- E-bike bells
- Tail lights
- Hydraulic brake components
- Tyres
- Suspension components
- Chains
- Sprockets
- Electrical components
- Protective accessories
- Replacement parts
Installed, damaged or used components may not qualify for a change-of-mind return.
This does not affect rights relating to defective or non-conforming products under Australian Consumer Law.
16. Incorrect or Missing Items
If you receive the wrong product or an item is missing from your order, contact us promptly.
Please provide:
- Order number.
- Product received.
- Product ordered.
- Photographs where applicable.
- Details of any missing item.
We will investigate the issue and arrange an appropriate solution where required.
17. Products Returned Without Original Packaging
For change-of-mind returns, original packaging may be required where reasonably necessary to protect the product during return transport or maintain the product’s saleable condition.
For faulty products, lack of original packaging does not automatically remove your Australian Consumer Law rights.
Contact us before returning the product if the original packaging is unavailable.
18. Proof of Purchase
We may request reasonable proof of purchase when processing a return or warranty claim.
Proof of purchase may include:
- Order confirmation.
- Tax invoice.
- Receipt.
- Order number.
- Other reasonable evidence of purchase.
19. Refunds for Promotional or Discounted Products
Products purchased during promotional periods may still be covered by applicable consumer guarantees.
Promotional pricing does not remove your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Where a change-of-mind return is accepted, any refund will generally be based on the amount actually paid for the returned product, subject to the applicable return terms.
20. Gift Cards and Store Credit
Where ELECTRICK offers gift cards or store credit, additional conditions may apply.
Unless required by Australian Consumer Law, gift cards and store credit are not automatically refundable for cash.
Any expiry dates and conditions applicable to gift cards will be displayed at the time of purchase.
21. International Returns
Customers purchasing from outside Australia may be responsible for international return freight, customs requirements, import charges and other applicable costs for change-of-mind returns.
For faulty products or products covered by applicable consumer protections, return arrangements will depend on the circumstances, destination and applicable law.
Customers should contact ELECTRICK before sending an international return.
22. Return Inspection
Returned products may be inspected to determine:
- The reported problem.
- Whether the product has been used.
- Whether damage has occurred.
- Whether a fault is present.
- Whether the issue may be related to installation or modification.
- Whether the product is eligible for the requested remedy.
Inspection does not remove or limit any rights available to consumers under Australian Consumer Law.
23. How to Request a Return
To request a return, contact ELECTRICK through our Contact Us page.
Please include:
- Your full name.
- Order number.
- Product name.
- Date of purchase.
- Reason for the return.

Providing clear information and photographs can help us assess the request more quickly.

25. Safety Requirements
Customer safety is a priority.
If an electric bike, battery, charger or electrical component appears unsafe, do not continue using or charging it.
Contact ELECTRICK for instructions.
Never attempt to open, repair or modify a lithium-ion battery unless you are appropriately qualified to do so.
26. Australian Consumer Law Rights
Nothing in this Refund & Returns Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or Australian Consumer Law.
Where Australian Consumer Law provides a consumer with a remedy, ELECTRICK will comply with those requirements.
If you are unsure whether your issue is covered, contact us and we will assess your circumstances.
